kaleiDANCEscope (asphalt Edition) (2022)

kaleiDANCEscope (asphalt edition) is a music box for dances. You can wish for different dances in a converted caravan. To do this, you go inside the caravan. The guests and the performers are always alone in the caravan. The guests decide what is to be danced. The performers all have different backgrounds: some come from contemporary dance, others from classical dance and then there are also some who perform local dances. A performance lasts between 3 and 7 minutes. It is a face-to-face encounter in a public space because the caravan can be set up anywhere. The kaleiDANCEscope travels from place to place and collects different dances. These are also dances that are rarely shown in the theatre.

kaleiDANCEscope (asphalt Edition) was shown in Düsseldorf at the asphalt Festival. The unique feature was that the kaleiDANCEscope was shown in different marketplaces. In addition, should-I-know invited local dancers and worked with them.
